If you were on death row, what would be the three things you would miss the most? What would be your final words? What would be your last meal?

Nature, the interaction with others, and a sense of purpose. I can never understand how anyone can think of eating at a time like this and don't think I would enjoy much of anything, but it might include something with chocolate.

I can't imagine being locked up for life. I would miss my family, my freedom (which includes freedom from fear of the terrible things that might happen to me in prison), and spending time outside in the summer in my garden and yard. I never eat when I'm stressed or upset, so I'm positive I would ask for nothing. I might order fried chicken and bacon just for the smells and in the hope that I could manage one bite of each of my favorite foods.

I would miss most the outdoors, fresh air, trees, water and all of nature. After that I would miss my dog, Stella. I am not sure that my family and friends would bring me that much comfort because of shame and guilt. I suppose I would miss books and reading material unless I were able to have access to them. I would miss photographs and memorabilia of better times now gone.
Depending on the circumstances of course, if I were actually guilty of a crime, I would want to know what the victims of my crime would want to know and try to give them heartfelt answers to their questions. Ha, I guess if I were that concerned about the victims, I doubt that I would ever be on death row. But if I were, I would try to give an explanation and remorse for my crime.
I agree with another reader, how can anyone think of eating when facing imminent death? I doubt that anything would sound very appealing. Maybe just a good stiff drink!

I would miss my family, daylight/sunshine and of course, freedom. I think my final words would be to apologize to my victim's family and to my own family for causing them pain. My last meal would be a Kobe steak and a Decadence D'Or cupcake from Sweet Surrender, Las Vegas (a $750 cupcake!).

Privacy... imagine never showering w/out someone watching.
Activity.... how can minds or bodies continue to work in a cage!
Love/care.....are you forgotten while you're still alive?

My grandchildren, my animals, and privacy.
The final words would depend on the reason for my being on death row.
Beef Wellington, roasted carrots, cranberry relish, and chocolate mousse. Champagne if allowed.

It is so difficult to imagine those circumstances. I would miss most the freedom of movement that we take for granted. To be locked in and at the mercy of others on a daily basis must be the most degrading feeling one could think of.

I would miss freedom, sunshine and living. The last words would be Goodbye. My last meal would be a diet food. You don't want to look fat lying on your back.

reading, walking in the woods, a glass of wine. I am innocent. Rack of lamb - medium rare, raosted potatoes, a real Ceasar salad, and creme caramel for dessert. (I would have a really good Cab, but know that is not allowed)

I would miss autonomy, privacy, and my library of books. I would hope that the prison I was sent to had a library, and if it did, I would try to get assigned to work there. I have no idea what my last words would be. I think it would depend on whether or not I was guilty of the crime I was incarcerated for, as well as whether or not any family members were there (mine or the victim's). Last meal: my friend Stella's fried chicken (best in the South), mashed potatoes, and coconut cake for dessert.

I would miss sunshine, companionship and privacy the most.
Final words, like most said, would be colored by my guilt or innocence. Carpe diem, perhaps... "seize the day."
My last meal might be scrambled eggs, bacon and toast with coffee. Or just a Jack and Coke if it were allowed!

Family and friends. My normal day to day routine. Freedom. Privacy. The ability to follow my dreams. That last thing I would say is goodbye. The last meal I think I would want tranquilizers or spaghetti.

I would miss my family, privacy and freedom the most. My last words would be, "I'm innocent and I hope you find the guilty person soon." I think it would be gross to eat before an execution. I would ask to have the food donated somewhere.

I agree with everyone that lack of privacy would be in my top three. Also, being at the complete mercy of those in control to be treated like a human being. And I would miss knowing that I could always try again tomorrow.
My last words would probably be, "Please be there for me, Jesus."
If I couldn't request a good red wine or extra drugs, it would be pizza, ice cream, and strawberries.
